When you are standing on a factory floor for ten hours, climbing scaffolding at a construction site, or navigating a chemical processing plant where one spill could mean a serious injury — the shoes on your feet are not a small detail. They are among the most critical pieces of personal protective equipment you wear.
Indcare is the safety footwear brand of Mittal Safety Works Private Limited, manufactured at our facility in Mangolpuri Industrial Area, Delhi. We have been designing and producing safety footwear for Indian industrial conditions since our founding — shoes built not for a catalogue, but for the actual hazards faced by Indian workers every day.
Designed Around Indian Industrial Conditions
Indian industrial environments present a specific combination of challenges: high ambient temperatures, monsoon season wet floors, concrete and stone surfaces, oil and grease contamination, and workers who are on their feet for 10–12 hour shifts without the option of frequent breaks.
Generic imported safety footwear is typically designed for European or American working conditions — different floor surfaces, different temperatures, different work patterns. Indcare shoes are tested and built for Indian conditions, with sole compounds that remain flexible and grippy in heat, and uppers that breathe adequately in a warm climate.
Our Product Range
The Indcare range covers the three main categories of industrial safety footwear used in India:
PU Safety Shoes
Polyurethane (PU) safety shoes are the standard for most dry industrial environments — manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and assembly. The PU sole offers good oil resistance, anti-slip performance on concrete and tile, and reasonable durability under heavy daily use.
Key models include the Hawk PU (our best-selling general purpose safety shoe), the Rock PU (heavy-duty outsole for abrasive environments), and the Jumbo Z+ PU (enhanced cushioning for workers who stand for extended periods).
PVC Safety Shoes
PVC construction is used where water resistance and chemical splash protection are required. PVC uppers do not absorb moisture, making them suitable for food processing, wet manufacturing, and environments where floors are washed down regularly.
Popular models include the Polo PVC and the Hector PVC — both offering steel toe protection, anti-slip soles, and full PVC construction.
PVC Gumboots
For environments with standing water, chemical spillage, or where workers walk through liquids as a regular part of their work — gumboots provide ankle-to-foot protection that standard safety shoes cannot. The Jungle Boot PVC is widely used in agricultural, construction, and chemical processing settings.
Why Procurement Managers Choose Indcare
Beyond the product itself, procurement officers who purchase safety footwear for large workforces have practical requirements: reliable supply, consistent sizing, documentation for compliance, and a supplier who can actually be contacted when something goes wrong.
Mittal Safety Works maintains stock across our full range, supports bulk ordering with size-wise breakdowns, and provides complete certification documentation — including ISO 9001:2015 quality certificates, ISO 14001:2015 environmental certificates, and BIS IS:15298 compliance documentation — for vendor qualification processes.
We supply to industries across India and work with dealers and distributors who need dependable local availability. To discuss supply terms, request a bulk quote or contact our sales team directly.
What It Means to Be Built for Indian Industrial Conditions
Indian industrial environments present a combination of conditions that is distinct from European or North American manufacturing settings. High ambient temperatures, monsoon humidity, diverse floor surfaces from polished tile to rough concrete and metal scale, and workforce demographics including a significant proportion of workers who stand for 8-12 hour shifts — these realities require footwear that has been designed and tested for them, not adapted from foreign specifications.
The Indian Foot Last
The last — the form on which a safety shoe is built — determines fit more than any other factor. European lasts are designed for European foot geometry: relatively narrow heel, moderate ball width, defined arch. Indian foot geometry is typically characterised by a wider ball, flatter arch, and different toe-box proportions. Footwear built on European lasts does not fit the Indian foot correctly — it creates bunching at the ball, excess space in the heel, and toe compression, all of which reduce both comfort and protective effectiveness.
Indcare footwear is built on Indian lasts, developed for the Indian workforce. This produces footwear that fits correctly, is worn consistently, and provides its full protective function.
Temperature and Climate Resilience
Indian manufacturing environments span extremes: steel plants and foundries where ambient temperatures near equipment exceed 50 degrees Celsius, cold storage facilities operating below minus 20 degrees, and outdoor construction sites where monsoon conditions mean standing water for four months of the year. The Indcare range addresses these conditions with:
- PU sole compounds formulated for heat resistance in dry manufacturing environments
- PVC constructions that maintain flexibility in wet and cold conditions without brittleness
- Double-density outsoles that resist the abrasion from India-specific floor contaminants — metal scale, granite aggregate, industrial grit
